Accounting
for Income Taxes
The
provision for income taxes and related balance sheet accounts is one of the
largest elements of a financial statement, and usually has a material impact on
net income and earnings per share. This
is a complex area that requires expertise in a number of disciplines, including
accounting and taxation. FAS 109 and FIN 48 have increased the complexities of
accounting for business combinations.
R&A tax professionals use their experience with domestic and
international accounting and tax issues to help companies maximize both
financial statement benefit and value.
